After arrival, proceed to Negombo. Check in to the hotel and sightseeing in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Negombo.
After breakfast, proceed to Anuradhapura. En-route visit Wilpattu National Park which is located 25km north of Puttalam or 30km west of Anurdhapura. The park that lies on the northwest coast spans the border between North Central Province and North Western Province of Sri Lanka. To the south of Wilpattu National Park is River Modergam Aru; to the north is River Kalay oya. Check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
After breakfast, proceed to Anuradhapura . Where there is a long list of cultural and religious places to explore. Such as the main Stupas; Ruwanweliseya, Tuparamaya, Abayagiriya, Jethawanaramaya and the sacred Boe Tree of Buddhists; “Sri Maha Bodi” and many other historical ruins which depict the skillful creations of ancestors of Sri Lanka. Dinner and overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
After breakfast, go further sightseeing in Anuradhapura and head to Mihinthale where the Buddhists believe they received Buddhism through Mahinda Thero who reached Sri Lanka on the top of Mihinthale Rock. This area is mostly visited and worshipped by most of the Sri Lankans during the Poson Poya season which falls on the month of June. Head back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
In the morning, proceed to Trincomalee to experience the white Sandy beaches at Nilaweli. Enjoy the dinner and overnight stay at Nilaweli.
Have the day to yourself and relax on the beach.
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Habarana. In the evening get onboard on a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park where you can find a large number of elephants in Sri Lanka. Accommodation will be provided at Habarana.
Early morning, will be able to witness the giant rock fortress; Sigiriya which is known as a cultural heritage in the world. There you will be able to see the “heavenly maidens” frescos, world famous mirror wall and the preserved lion paws at the entrance of once where a great sculpture stood on its ground. Then head to Polonnaruwa, the second most ancient kingdom in Sri Lankan history. Spend the evening visiting the ancient ruins and temples and head back to the hotel to enjoy the dinner.
Head to a rural village in the morning and get to experience the village life of Sri Lanka. Enjoy a bullock cart ride through the village, go on a catamaran ride and take a local tuk-tuk ride that will add a blend of experience for your journey. After the village tour proceed to Kandy. On the way visit Dambulla Cave Temple which consists of 151 images of Lord Buddha. This cave temple which is also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla which is considered as a world heritage site. And the contains of the temple is five caves. Check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
Sight-seeing in Kandy. There you will be able to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Which is known as one of the major sacred places of Buddhists. After lunch visiting Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya which is located 6 kms from Kandy. It treasures tropical flora including collections of Orchids, aromatic spices, medicinal herbs and rare endangered plant species. Afterwards you will be able to watch a colourful Kandian dance. Spending the overnight in Kandy.
In the morning proceed to Bentota, a city located in down south in Sri Lanka, which adds a splendid beauty to Sri Lankan excursions. Spending the overnight in Bentota.
